Happy 5th Birthday Charlotte!!

Carson and Charlotte kick me out of their umbrella picnic for TWO!!
The party was held at the day camp that I send Carson to. Charlotte's parents are the camp directors. It was a lot of fun for the kids and the adults!! The kids enjoyed a chocolate fountain, Suckers, and this cake made by Charlotte's father!! Yep I said FATHER! The cake is vanilla and chocolate with raspberry filling! They also enjoyed a bounce house, water slide, arts and crafts, party buckets (candy and toys), and Olympic size swimming pool!! The adults were fed coconut shrimp, crab cakes, hamburgers with pineapple on top, and did I mention all the fruit you can dip in the chocolate fountain!!! Us adults were also invited to go on the "ropes" course...50 feet in the air with a zip line!!! Lots of fun!!
This is the giant water slide Carson enjoyed soooooo much! I have always looked at these things in the store wondering how much fun and maintenance they actually are! Well the are fun all summer and then, I am told, they are a pain in the a** to dry out!
You wouldn't think this slide would send you flying but it does!! Gone are the days where you take the baby oil and slip n' slide!!
At the bottom you get a face full of water!
Can you imagine how hard it was to get him to leave?? Actually by the end of the day he was tired and on the way down from and extreme sugar high!!

We took off Carson's life jacket and bam he was swimming for the first time!! Press play and see him swim for the first time! Between the neighbors pool, camp, and family Carson is in the water all the time!!

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY TO GARRETT!!

The boys had a great time at Garrett's 5Th birthday party!! My friend Shelia had all the goodies for the kids!! My kids left there on a MAJOR SUGAR HIGH!! Cake, Ice cream, candy, and pop!!!
Carson and Connor "helped" hand out and open presents!!
We all love Garrett's little sister Cecelia and she is a total ham for the camera!
Pinata time is always my favorite!! This one you pull the strings taking turns until the candy falls out!
I love Garotte's face in this picture!! Shelia had spider man filled to the top!!
Candy galore!!
The boys were little fish!!! I love this pool it is just deep enough for the boys to enjoy themselves without the life jackets!!

Summer birthday's are the best!!
We will be doing the same thing all over again next week at Charlotte's birthday party at Eco Grove day camp (the camp Carson goes to)! Last week at camp was bike week I wish I had a picture of all of the kids on their bikes for you to see!! This week is all about healthy bodies!!! Carson loves his camp and so does mommy!!

TOP PICKS IN THE LAST 7 DAYS!

We went to "play" with mamaw and papaw this week (great grandparents)! I love the personal attention and warmth they give to my kids! Every little thing the boys do is interesting, cute, and funny to them! It is wonderful the way they understand what is like to have a 2 and 4 year old!!
I had a great week with the family and wanted to share my fav. moments with you! I hope that your gardens are growing as well as mine!! This picture is from earlier in the week...but today I picked my first tomato and pepper!! I have so much salad and green beans! Fried zucchini anyone?? Carrots, green onions, broccoli, and cucumbers still to come!!
Connor tries his best to keep up with big brother on his bike!! It is funny how the younger brother learns everything so much earlier! I guess it is learn or be left in the dust.
I went to Kohls the other day and got some great deals on clearance summer clothing!!
We built a fort this week and hung out watching the latest Land Before Time video (bonus points for those of you without kids who know what that is)!! I loved doing this as a kid and I still love hanging out under the blankets playing games!! I just bought Hungry Hungry Hippo (board game) for the kids and we spent hours munching up all the balls and counting to see who won!! The boys are into candy land, guess who, and the hippo game! I am thinking about buying the kids version of monopoly for our trip up north! We rented a cabin on a lake for a week in mid Aug!! The kids are excited to go on vacation!
Carson loves to be wrapped up like a taco!! Hope you had some good moments this week also!

SPLASH PAD AND BASEBALL!

Craig, Cliff, and Chad play on the HFC baseball team every Tuesday in Grand Blanc Centennial Park!
The boys love sitting on the bleachers eating popcorn and scramming "get a base hit dad!" and "Strike em' out Papaw!" The whole team teased Cliff for being the "Gramps" on the team!!! Craig running for home!!
At the park they have a small water park for the kids!!
Dumping buckets, spraying water, and running slippery happy kids!!!
Good release of energy!!!!
Connor ran all over the splash pad...thank god it was fenced in!!
We will be doing this again for sure!!!!!

BBQ!

Mimi and Papaw came out with Nicole, Chad, and Grandma Faye for a BBQ!!! I was so busy cooking with Craig so this is the only picture I got!! The boys were outside all day on their bikes, roller blades (Carson gets better each day), trampoline, and basketball!!
I love summer because I can make the messy stuff and send the kids outside with it...When they are done the hose cleans it all up! This stuff is fun and easy to make! Take one cup of corn starch and 1/4 cup of water (maybe a bit more) and mix then add food coloring and you are good to go! (It is a bit hard to mix so forget the spoon and dig in with your hands!)
When you pick it up it is hard and then it turns into slime that melts off your hands!! HAVE SOME MESSY FUN!

Home Depot Bird House and Car!

July 5Th (first Sat. of the month) time for another project at home depot! This time a bird house and a Home Depot car!
It was Connor's first time building and he was crazy with the hammer!!!!! He was really focused and did a great job!
Popa came along and helped Carson with his projects!! The fenton Home depot gives cookies and juice with each task completed!!! Carson and Popa won the race by having the bird house and car completed while Craig and Connor were still working on the house! The bird houses are hung on the fence outside the kids bedroom windows with birdseed! Next month we will be making mini flag poles!

July 4th

10am Parade in downtown Fenton!! Aunt Connie found flags for the boys while we waited for the parade to begin!
Tracy (this picture is for you) the fourth is over so I hope you got all the crazy times out in Vegas and now put your Cami's back on and behave! Love you!
The kids always enjoy the clowns! She had a dog with her so Connor was all about her!

Spider man made and appearance and we had to chase him down for a picture...You should have seen Carson's face when he saw spider man it made me want to go to Disney while he will still enjoy the characters!
After the parade it was off the Jennifer's house to for food and fireworks!
All the cousins played so well! Jenny (living on a farm) has all kinds of dirt hills and fun stuff to roll around in...then came the smores and well...I wish I had an after picture for you to see!
We had hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, apple pie, ham rolls, fruit, green beans picked fresh from the field, chili, and Yummy jello shots!!! Don't forget the chocolate, marshmellows, and Graham crackers...I gained five pounds just typing it!
The longest sparklers I have ever seen! Carson and Connor enjoyed them!
Ethan and his friends set off some great very up close and personal fireworks for all of us!
