Christmas concert/party

Carson's preschool Christmas party had a lot going on. Both sets of grand parents came for the festivities! First we decorated cookies and ate them. Fallowing the desert came potluck dinner (which at that point was just for the adults). I made some mac n' cheese!!
Carson did all the crafts...He made an ornament, reindeer food with glitter and oats (to spread on the lawn so they can find us in the dark)!! He also colored a Christmas picture!!
Our beautiful family Christmas picture...Craig always fallows his yearly tradition of closing his eyes in the picture. It would be weird if they were open!!LOL!!!
Carson's best friend Charlotte!!! Stuck like glue together!!
Christmas musical!!! I loved every second of the squirmy concert!!! Carson is a born performer (IE: the loudest on video!!) There was also the token crier, the nose picker, and the wanderers who walked around oblivious to everything!!! We loved it!!!

Lillian Hauk's birthday Smith's take!!!

Not to compete with my mom...but I wanted to share my version of grandma's birthday. I love the cake picture because her face explains it all. She had a bittersweet birthday missing Grandpa Hauk but sooooooo thankful for all the wonderful people in her life!! I think there were ninety of them at Weber's today!!!
Well this is a fun game...see if you can actually find waldo (grandma) among her many grand kids and great-grand children. Believe it or not they all are not in this picture!!! I tried to count the missing ones...but Desperate Housewives is on soon...I can tell you Connor is not in the picture because Craig disappeared to check the score of the Lion's game!!! You have got to love football season!!!
Smile and I'll give you cake...Works like a charm!!!

Gearing up for the big guy!!!

Does anyone know what the craft of the week at my house is??? HINT: Today is Dec. 1st and the count down begins!!!!
Concentrate!!! Red, green, yellow...yep fun and learning patterns...I am good!!!
We set up the Christmas tree today!!!!
We went to Meijer and on the way there saw a Christmas Parade in downtown Oxford (I love my cute little town). Then at the store an announcement was made that SANTA was arriving and so how could I say no to that face!!! Look at how he adores him (even though that is a sad looking Santa)...but hey he's four so what does he care!! By the way he asked Santa (and I quote) "I would like a BIG SLOBBERY DOG and a GUN." Only my wild child. And for those of you thinking where is Connor...Home napping...Trust me this is not the only picture you will see of the boys and Santa, although Connor may be crying in the next one(trauma for the shy one)!

Preschoolers Light Oxford Tree

Carson's class was picked to light the tree in Oxford's Centennial Park today! They all handmade ornaments to hang on the tree and then it was lit up! We all sang Christmas carols and ran around in the snow.
Connor freezing his butt off!!
After the tree we walked across the parking lot to STARBUCKS for a Christmas story and some hot chocolate! (Yep, I said Starbucks)
This is Carson's best friend Charlotte. He never leaves her side at school functions. Doesn't it look like they are on a date with their Hot coco!!!! LOL!!

Indoors!!!

The snow is here and so we are finding things to do inside. So far we have had lots of air hockey, bounce house, tag, playdough, coloring, and (my favorite) eating popcorn and sitting in laundry baskets watching movies!!! We may need some ideas soon...I think we are going to try sleading this weekend (blog coming soon)!! Love you all!!!

More Vacation Pictures

I loved the dolphins. There were two in the pool with us (one boy and one girl). One of them had a major attitude (guess which one...we called her "the bitch") She bit a foreigner (which I am not opposed to) and then took her tail and beat the woman over the head...however I knew to stay away from this one because I watched the previous group swim. It was so funny to hear the woman scream "Bite me!! Bite me!!!" The staff there claims she touched the blow hole...(for all you men out there that is a big no-no for a woman!!!LOL!!) I got to hold the fins and let the dolphin swim me across the pool. They even take a picture of the dolphins kissing you!!!

Ok while you are laying on the beach drinking yourself silly a man with a microphone hounds you to get up and do the dance lesson!!! It is so funny because he makes fun of you in broken Spanglish (Spanish-English). I love this picture though because the whole thing reminded me of Dirty Dancing when they arrive at the resort and everyone is lined up learning a dance (one and two and three...now imagine it in Spanglish!!!)

I don't have any pictures of para sailing because I was afraid to take my nice camera on the tiny boat they took us on...but here is the story anyway...Just me and my mother-in-law Toni went. We left the beach with one man (who spoke no English) in a boat the size of a paddle boat. He had no life jackets for us and a rope to hang onto. I was nervous and well Toni was screaming at every wave we jumped with our butts leaving the seats...We arrived at a larger boat with three men this time (again very little English). They were drinking some brown liquor out of a water bottle. The driver must have liked me because he kept saying "me like-a your eyes" to me while making that face ( you know the face ladies...the naughty one!) Life jackets and harness on we were up in the air. The reefs were amazing to see from up there!!!
